Our Community
Cucuroo is determined and dedicated to bringing ethically produced food to the table, and our purpose as a business is to improve the lives of people, animals and the planet through food. Below are some examples of what we are currently doing for our community.

Educating Children about the Earth and Food
Children are our future. Kids who know where their food comes from are more likely to develop healthy eating habits that last a lifetime. They learn to appreciate fresh, whole foods and recognize the taste difference. This awareness can reduce their preference for processed foods and sugary snacks, steering them towards healthier choices. Cucuroo does a chick hatching program in educational environments. We visit the students for two hours a week for six weeks and we talk about a variety of food issues and our carbon footprint.This is a free program offered to teachers of any age group.

Feeding those less fortunate
Our 4 year spent hens and roosters are prayed over and thanked for their service and are ethically processed to feed our un-housed persons who are less fortunate and in need of meals. Through our church program, poultry can feed our community members who are food insecure.

We also buy young roos from the community and raise them in a natural outdoor environment until maturity which then they are prayed over and thanked and ethically processed.

Putting God into everything We do
We know that through God everything is possible and we also believe that many of us worship the same God, no matter what religion or nationality that we are. God requires us to accept each other without bias and provide for one another.

Humans share a fundamental equality with one another, being created equally in God's image (Genesis 1:26-27, Proverbs 22:2, Job 31:15), having all committed sin (Romans 3:23) and all of us need redemption. Acts 15:11, Romans 10:12).
